Concert Orchestra
Bennett Stucky, Conductor

The Concert Strings builds upon our younger musicians’ skills to develop musicality, improve technical ability and sight reading and prepare them for the Symphony Orchestra. Concert Strings musicians learn challenging orchestra works and every Concert Strings member participates in a Prelude Chamber Ensemble with individual coaching. Concert Strings performs two major orchestra and chamber concerts per season as well as the Parent Guild’s Fall Fundraiser. Prelude Chamber Ensembles are required to perform at least one concert at a small venue within the community, such as a school, business, or nursing home.

Musician Quote
“Music represents all that is God-created. It is ingenious, ambition, and desire. It provides a medium for (the) creative mind, to speak its true thoughts. It is emotion driven through sound, but you can be deaf and still listen. Beethoven provides the example. To me, music is my escape from the trials and tribulations of life. It allows me to release my confined soul into the true world of pure humanity. YOR to me is a gathering of ambitious, creative minds to collaborate and create something that is truly human! Music.” ~Ethan
