Monday, September 11, 2006, 7:00pm - The Attack On Freedom: Five Years Later
On the fifth anniversay of the tragedy the Loveland Concert Band presented a very moving multi-media remembrance of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The concert was a five-part presentation designed not only to remember the events that changed the world, but also provide hope for peace and a safe America. In addition to music presented by the Loveland Concert Band, the remembrance also featured video tributes and narration by Mr. Voyt Lynn.
The concert was sponsored by Banner Health KcKee Medical Center in cooperation with Boomer Music, The Quick Print Shop, and Garage Door Service and Sales.
We performed to a packed house at the Price Civic Auditorium at Thompson Valley High School. The concert was well received. We had representatives from all the local law enforcement and emergency services and free-will donations were accepted for the Red Cross - Northen Colorado Chapter.
November 21, 2005 - The Loveland Concert Band performed a great outreach concert at Lesher Junior High School. This was a joint concert where we performed some of our music, the Lesher Symphonic Band performed some of their music, and we performed some music together. The bands were inter-mixed together so that we could watch each other perform and easily perform together.
October 22, 2005 - The Loveland Concert Band performed our first concert of the season presenting The Final Frontier - Space. This concert got rave reviews from the audience as we presented a "Planetarium-style" program providing great music in conjunction with fun information about the planets, solar system, and more!
