The Larimer
Chorale has had the honor of performing with a number of first-class
professional musicians. We have also hosted world-reknowned soloists
and guest artists. We greatly appreciate the generosity with which

The Larimer Chorale welcomes Dr. Keith
Hampton, internationally known gospel music composer arranger and
clinician, and Ms. Bennie L. Williams, Artistic Director of The
Spirituals Project Choir of Denver, for a two-day workshop on
African-American choral music traditions, focusing on gospel music and
spirituals. The workshop will culminate in an incredibly
uplifting concert that will feature the Chorale and a massed choir of
more than 200 voices singing spirituals and gospel music with a full
rhythm section. Be prepared to clap your hands and tap your feet!

Our original "Pulling Out All the Stops"
concert was such a success a few years ago that we wanted to do it
again ... only bigger and better. Dr. Joel Bacon will again
collaborate with the Larimer Chorale on First Presbyterian's powerful
Reuter pipe organ (53 ranks, 3 manuals) in a concert of grand music for
chorus and organ. Dr. Bacon holds the Stewart and Sheron Golden
Chair in Organ and Liturgical Studies at CSU. He has been heard
in recital in Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland and Canada, and his
live performances have been broadcast on Austrian Radio and Public
Radio International.

The CREATION performance was enhanced by a visual perspective of
creation-themed works by area artists, projected on stage during the
concert to create a unique synthesis of the visual and musical arts in
a glorious celebration of the natural world around us.
Guests were welcomed to join us prior to the show to view the work of
area artists, who had
submitted their best CREATIONS and were offering them for sale.
The silent auction of this work, to benefit the Chorale, was held
online
during the month
of April as well as prior to the performance at the Lincoln Center.

Larimer Chorale was invited to sing at 2009's Colorado Mahlerfest! Colorado MahlerFest, the annual Boulder
event celebrating the music of Gustav Mahler, presents its 22nd
festival from Wednesday, May 13th through Sunday, May 17th, featuring
ticketed concerts of Mahler’s magnificent Symphony No. 8, the “Symphony
of a Thousand” performed by the Colorado MahlerFest Orchestra,
conducted by Robert Olson, MahlerFest’s founder. Also appearing are The
Cherry Creek Chorale, The Colorado Children’s Chorale and The Larimer
Chorale and eight vocal soloists:
Cynthia Lawrence, Rebecca Copley, and
Szilvia Schranz, sopranos; Julie Simson and Jacalyn Kreitzer, altos;
