2010 Vocal Scholarship Recipient

Kala Early

The 2010 recipient of the Larimer Chorale's fourth annual vocal scholarship to the CSU Summer Music Camp is Kala EarlyKala is going to be a junior at Fort Collins High School beginning the fall of 2010.  She started singing in choir when she was in 7th grade.   During her sophomore year in high school she participated in her school choir and in the Fort Collins High School musical Peter Pan. She is thankful for all the music opportunities she has been given throughout the year. She thanks God everyday for the journey she has been given. Her dream is to become a singer/actress/dancer. For college, Kala plans to go to a performing art school in Seattle. She also would like to travel and study music abroad.  She wants to help change the world through music.  She believes music is the key to helping kids stay out of trouble.  Music is international, and she believes it can bring world peace.  This scholarship means a lot to her. She says, “It’s an opportunity of a life time!” and something she’ll always remember. She is very grateful to be given the opportunity to pursue her dreams.
