We are glad that you have found us!  If you are a parent with one or more children diagnosed with FA or some other type of childhood onset ataxia, we welcome you and want to tell you that you are not alone anymore!  From all over the world, we communicate with each other through this e-mail list, all parents who are having similar experiences.  We share the joys of raising our children, as well as the heartache of the progressive condition called ataxia.

FAPG is a closed list, limiting subscriptions to parents & guardians of children with Friedreich's Ataxia (or other childhood onset ataxias).  We also have two dedicated doctors subscribed to the FA Parents list:  Susan Perlman, MD, UCLA Neurology and Nicholas DiProspero, MD, Ph.D, NINDS, NIH.

After being notified from  SYMPA, you can then begin mailing to fapg@fortnet.com  (yes that is .com) we suggest you start with a personal introduction.

Before you submit email to our list please read posting guidelines and policy of confidentiality for FAPG.

If you would like to be included on the birthday reminders, send family names, emails and birthdates to Margie Mijares at: margie@mijares.net   Please note those with FA, parent or sibling. She sends a monthly birthday notification out to the FAPG membership at the end of each month.

Looking forward to knowing you!
