 HistoryDance Express was incorporated and became a (501)(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1992. Since 1989 Dance Express has offered modern dance training and performance opportunities in the Fort Collins area to people with disabilities over sixteen. Founder and artistic director, Mary Elizabeth Lenahan, MS, OTR, has facilitated the growth and direction of the company. She completed masters in occupational therapy at Colorado State University and studied dance at the State University of New York at Albany, Colorado State University, and with the Paul Sanasardo Company. Dance Express members participate in productions and community workshops.
