Our Bright Beginnings Volunteers are our community
ambassadors who link families with services and programs.
We do not expect our volunteers to be experts in child rearing or early childhood. We only expect that you become familiar with the materials so you can tell families about what is available to them. All volunteers receive training for the Warm Welcome visit in a 3 hour session and shadow another visitor before heading out on their own. We ask volunteers to commit six months of service to our program and complete at least one visit a month. To protect our reputation in the community, all volunteer names are cleared through Colorado Bureau of Investigations before becoming active volunteers. We also have a need for office volunteers to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
