The Virtual Community

Welcome to FortNet's Virtual Community. The idea behind the Virtual Community is to create an electronic mirror of the Fort Collins area and the surrounding communities. We encourage you participate by becoming a FortNetizen.

What is a FortNetizen?

• Derived from the term citizen, referring to a citizen of the FortNet The Community Information Network, or someone who uses FortNet's networked resources. The term connotes civic responsibility and participation.

How Can I Participate?

• Set your browser's start page to FortNet and access community information
• Or to find us quickly, add www.fortnet.org to your "Bookmarks" or "Favorite Places" by clicking on these options while visiting FortNet's Homepage
• Are you part of an organization or business that has a local web site? Submit your URL to one (or two) of our directories
• Add your organization's events to our FortNet Calendar
• Stake your claim on our server and become an Information Provider
• Set up or Join a Mail List

Become a Friend of FortNet

• Offer your time and talents as a Volunteer
• Financially support FortNet with Donations and Grants

Don't have a computer?

• Visit a Community Internet Resource Center for free access to the Internet to browse FortNet and the World Wide Web. FortNet's mission is to empower all people to explore and participate in the Internet environment.
